If you follow the links above they will take you to small descriptions of what each type of event is like. We are not limited to just these type of events and may host events along other veins of ideas including birthday parties and events at conventions just to name a few. We keep our events family friendly and suitable for most ages. We try to keep everything PG to PG-13 and we often find ourselves in G rated themes at times as well. Our goal is to host or attend monthly events and gatherings. Our events can range from Tea Parties and Sewing Parties to attending Parades and Meet ups, or walking in a Parade. We will frequently host photo shoot so that our cosplayers can build on their costume portfolios and even have viewings of various anime, movies and live action television shows. Most of what we watch or participate in focus a lot on Asian cultures and many of the people in our community study the cultures and the languages. Our community varies from Asian fashion enthusiasts to building costuming based off of specific characters in anime, movies and literature to creating custom original designs. We are a group of like-minded individuals interested in various aspects of the Costumed Play world. Together we make a team skilled in theatrics and costuming. Many of our members enjoy wig working, sewing, prop making, make up effects and much more. Our members vary in skill and range so our events are geared to using those skills to help everyone around us achieve their goals. Our themed Tea Parties can range from an Anime Theme to Lolita Themed Tea. Each Tea includes a variety of flavored teas, juices, sweets and treats served to you by hand selected and trained servers. Currently we have place settings for about 15 guests that pre-register and RSVP. The theme, price, date, time and location of each
Tea Party will be announced on the Calendar as it is planned.

The Sewing Parties are usually all night slumber party events much like the lock ins we used to attend. Some are held at hotel conference rooms, churches or other buildings that we are able to acquire for overnight use. We try to stick with a Saturday evening till Sunday Morning time frame for each and we generally set up either a television or a projector and play anime all night while we are sewing. This helps give us something to listen to and watch while taking much needed breaks. The sewing parties are intended to let the Oklahoma Cosplay Community get together for help from other cosplayers and to help find inspiration for their sewing, crafting and costuming projects. We ask that anyone who wants to come contact us by the specified date and bring a predetermined contribution such as snacks, beverages or tableware. The contributions, price, date, time and location of each sewing party

Occasionally the opportunity arises for
participation in parades and other promotional event. Information on these

We like to host small photo shoots through out the year and at conventions and help to promote others who are hosting photo shoots in their area. Photo shoots will be discussed and announced in the Calendar as it is planned. Discussions for each event will be hosted on the forums.
We are proud to announce that we are part of
Operation Anime with Funimation and are now able to host anime viewings and
marathons. These gatherings are generally either a full day or an over night
event. They may even coincide with a sewing party or other event for double the

Meet ups are any event other than what is listed. This could be a meet up at a convention, this could be a gathering at the mall or other events around town. Meet ups may include other gatherings on our list as well.
